M3 XXT, Reference styli straight, carbon fibre shaft, knurled plastic adapter

In the M3 XXT system, the reference stylus consists of a thermally stable, lightweight carbon fibre shaft and an 5 mm ruby sphere. The knurled plastic adapter is used for fast set-up without using a tool. The reference stylus is used to determine the exact position of the calibrated reference sphere. The knurled reference stylus is marked with a plastic adapter and should not be used for standard measurements.
